2017 Monster Kids and Family Triathlon! What do you want to know? Athletes in costumes? Yep! Children ages 4-14? Bingo! Rockin post party with pancakes? Copy that. FUN and ENERGY! Check. Killer fall swag, of course! 400 little triathletes? Child, please. You know it is the largest triathlon weekend in DFW! Can moms, dads, brothers, sisters and family do the run course with their little triathlete? Of course!

2017 marks year 12 for the Monster Kids Triathlon which sells-out with 400 athletes (ages 4-14).
The Keller Kids Triathlon is part of the Monster Triathlon weekend and a great way to get the kids involved in the sport of triathlon while benefiting a good cause.
Leap Frogs (4-6 age group): Swim, 25 yards, bike 1 mile, run 1/3 mile
Road Runners (7-10 age group): Swim 75 yards, bike 2 mile, run 1 mile
Gladiators 11-14) age group): Swim 125 yards, bike 3 miles, run 1 mile
Children will swim in the Keller Natatorium, bike on a closed Bear Creek Parkway and run on the beautiful Keller trails.Children are allowed to use training wheels on their bikes and life vests in the water.

Does my child need a helmet?
All cyclists MUST wear helmets.
Are parents allowed on the course to help the child?
ONE parent is allowed in transition while the child transitions from swim to bike & bike to run. Parents are allowed in transition to help the child set-up.
NOTE: Parents are also allowed to do the run portion of the event with their big time triathlete child!
What else should I be asking?
Now that is a good question. In a nutshell, don’t stress. Simply show up with a swimsuit, bike & helmet and some running shoes. We will take it from there.

No packet pick up race morning!
Please bring a photo ID. If registering at packet pick up, please bring your child’s USAT ID. One day USAT licenses will be available for $10.00.
Friends and family members may pick up packets for participants.
No race transfers or deferrals.
What is “Packet Pick-Up”
Packet Pick-Up is where you’ll receive race day information (race number, shirt, etc.) You may pick your packet up for other kids or have someone pick up your packet. The child does not need to come to packet pick-up.
6:30 a.m. – Transition Opens for Body Marking, etc
7:30 a.m. – Race Begins!
8:00 a.m. – First Kids cross the Finish line and get their medals
8:15 a.m. – Post Party Treats and Drinks
10:30 a.m. – Parents Help Clean Up
11:00 a.m. – Take Kids to there Next Event…. Soccer, Baseball, etc.
