Don’t know what a “Virtual Run” is? That’s OK – you’re not alone!
So here are the basics:
What is a virtual run?
A virtual run is a “run” that can be completed anywhere you are and anytime you want. There are a lot of reasons why you may not be able to attend a run, but doing a virtual run allows you to still participate and donate to a our great charities! Just register, RUN and send us your results!
What is the distance for virtual runs?
They can be ANY distance! We have a wide variety of runs so just pick the distance that sounds the best to you!
What if I cant do the whole thing at once?
Are you concerned that you don’t think you can finish the whole run at once? The great thing about the virtual run is that you can split the miles over as many days as you want. We just want to see you running, having fun with it and BEING SAFE!
How do improve my time/distance?
Easy! There are a ton of watches and free apps out there to track it for you. Even better, if you run on the treadmill you can just snap a pic of the readout. If you don’t have access to one of those, just give us your best estimate! Send us your results here and we will keep them for you. Our goal is for you to finish and have fun!
Questions? E-mail Info and we will get you squared away!
Come join us for the 3rd annual Blue Red Half Marathon & 10K virtual run. Run anytime, anywhere and help support our two charities! Help support The Texas Police Chiefs Association Foundation (TPCAF) who provides funds to individuals through the Officer Death Benefit Program and the Grand Prairie Fire Department (GPFD). The GPFD Hearts & Hoses works in tandem with the Grand Prairie Fire Department to assist Grand Prairie community members in crisis whose lives have been adversely affected by fire loss.
Here is how it works:
1. Sign up for the race (Must register by November 4, 2016 to participate.)
2. Complete the race distance in the location and time best for you between now and November 13 and HAVE FUN!
3. Submit your race results here.
The Texas Police Chiefs Association Foundation (TPCAF) provides funds to individuals through the Officer Death Benefit Program. If a Texas law enforcement officer is killed in the line of duty, the foundation delivers a check to the surviving spouse, children, or parents in order to provide immediate funds to a family in time of crisis.
Our 2016 Fire Fighter charity is the Grand Prairie Fire Department (GPFD). The GPFD Hearts & Hoses works in tandem with the Grand Prairie Fire Department to assist Grand Prairie community members in crisis whose lives have been adversely affected by fire loss as well as promote camaraderie and solidarity within the Fire Department.
Donations can be made directly to the Texas Police Chiefs Association Foundation (TPCAF) Click here for more information
