“Runners at Play – Fun Running for Everyone!”
Sunday, October 4, 4 & 8-miles run along with a one-mile “Kids and Family Fun Run” in beautiful Bear Creek Park, Keller, TX!
What you eat before a run can dictate your performance. It’s important to make smart, healthy, pre-run food choices. Exercising on an empty stomach is a big mistake and fueling up the wrong way can cause cramps, dizziness and headaches.
Here are pre-run meal tips to give you the energy you need to run your best!

I am a runner. I have been for as long as I can remember but nothing more than average. When it came to training for a race my plan was to run and build miles. I didn’t think it was necessary to cross train or build strength. Two years ago I hit a plateau & wanted more. I honestly joined Camp Gladiator to tone up but never in a million years thought it would improve my running as much as it has. Prior to CG, I had run 2 marathons, both well over 4 hours. In October of 2014, I completed my 4th marathon with a finish time of 3:46:42. It was not only a 31 minute PR, I missed my BQ time by a mere 1:42! I don’t credit anything else than what I get from Camp Gladiator.
CG may be a group environment but I have never felt like a number in the crowd. The individualized attention they give each of us is something you don’t see even with a personal trainer. They all genuinely care about the campers. They get to know us, our needs, passions, etc. The workouts focus on those needs & passions.
One of the biggest impacts this group has had on me is how dedicated they are to their campers. This was evident in February 2014 when outside of camp, the trainers put together a team to run the Cowtown 10K. They ran with the campers, many of who had never run the distance before. As if that wasn’t enough, the next day during the marathon I was met at mile 20 and coached in to complete marathon #3. Who does that?! Camp Gladiator trainers, that’s who! Positively impacting lives that’s what they do and have done for me!
Don’t know what a “Virtual Run” is? Its ok – you’re not alone!
So here are the basics:
What is a virtual run?
A virtual run is a “run” that can be run anywhere you are and anytime you want. There are lots of reasons why you may not be able to attend a run, but doing a virtual run allows you to still participate and donate to a great charity! Just register, RUN and send us your results!
What is the distance for virtual runs?
They can be ANY distance! We have a wide variety of runs so just pick the distance that sounds the best to you!
What if I cant do the whole thing at once?
Are you concerned that you don’t think you can finish the whole run at once? The great thing about the virtual run is that you can split the miles over as many days as you want. We just want to see you running, having fun with it and BEING SAFE!
How do improve my time/distance?
Easy! There are a ton of watches and free apps out there to track it for you. Evenbetter is if you run on the treadmill you can just snap a pic of the readout. If you don’t have access to one of those, just give us your best estimate! Sendus your results here and we will keep them for you! Our goal is for you to finish and have fun!
Questions? Contact email@example.com and we will get you squared away!
